"Thinking Of You" cards to Nursing homes in the area-
Send a Christmas card/ eCards to residents at Mount View Care Center and Pine Crest Nursing Home! Cards can be sent to: Resident of Mount View Care Center 2400 Marshall Street, Wausau, WI 54403 Resident of Pine Crest Nursing Home 2100 E 6th Street Merrill, WI 54452 OR Send an eCard! Visit www.norcen.org/eCards and send cards to those in our Residential Services and Behavioral health programs! You can also find a listing of all local nursing homes across the State of Wisconsin on the Department of Health Services website at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/guide/nhdir.pdf Food Delivery Drivers- Wausau Area Mobile Meals is looking for compassionate and caring people to deliver meals once a week. Meals are picked up at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at 11 a.m. and route is complete at noon. Sign up as a team or an individual by contacting Doris Spooner at 715-848-584 or send her an email. Adopt a Resident- Consider helping brighten someone’s holiday or day at North Central Health Care or Mount View Care Center. Businesses or organizations can purchase a gift that will be specific to a resident. You can contact them by calling 715-848-4450 or send an email. Comfort Cart- This Aspirus Hospital volunteer role provides patients comfort items at the bedside to enhance their hospital stay. A variety of products are provided at no charge to patients (pens, playing cards, magazines, puzzle books, etc.) Walking and good customer service skills are required. Contact Shirley by calling 715-847-2835 or send her an email. In-Kind Donated Items Needed- Help Catholic Charities Warming Center provide for their guests. Bottled water and juices are appreciated. Invest in the Life of a Child- Big Brothers Big Sisters matches you and a child for activities that enrich and encourage. “Bigs” meet with their “Littles” weekly, for activities in a safe/structured environment.
